I would appreciate knowing about some recent fictions you have read and enjoyed. Maybe you could give me a brief overview of it along with the title and author. Let me share one with you that I recently read and really enjoyed: It is a paperback I picked up in England last week and thoroughly enjoyed it: "A Short History of Tractors in Ukrainian" by Marina Lewycka. It is a thoughprovoking and very funny story about an 84 year old man who wants to marry a 35 year old Ukrainian woman who only wants to marry him so that she can leave the Ukraine. The man's daughters are very upset about their father linking up with the voluptuous gold-digger Valentina who will stop at nothing in her pursuit of Western wealth. The sisters' campaign to oust Valentina unearths family secrets, uncovers fifty years of Europe's darkest history and sends them back to roots they would much rather forget. A tremendously enjoyable read; and winner of the Bollinger Everyman Prize for Comic Fiction.

I agree with you on both parts, especially letting the bench players finish the game. The starters were doing horrible, while the bench players were doing great. The bench players deserved to be out there, they brought them back into the game. I have no idea why they fold to the Lakers, but i notice it too. WHAT DOES IT MEAN WHEN A GUY CONSTANTLY STARES @ YOu?

It all started last yr when I was just walking down the hall and said to his friend "who's that?!" and he ment me. Later that day he added me on fb and started commenting on my statuses and joining my groups etc and being all nice and stuff. Colors are orange, pink, lime greeen and yellow with a seaside colored blue ceiling..looks really cute except we did change her curtains to white with polka dot to match better. What a fix. Exasperated, I shouted, “you cant all be telling the truth, can you?” Curly and larry quickly said “no” while moe said “yes”. This gave me the key I needed, and I reasoned thus: the liar had to answer yes; only moe answered yes; so moe was the liar. Curly had said that moe was the liar while larry had said that curly was the liar so Curly was telling the truth. I headed east. Five minutes later, I was running back, pursued by a bloodthirsty mob shouting, “you will not make a fine dinner,” “our barbecue pit is not heating up right now,” and most ominously, “you are escaping.” However, my daily jogging stood me in good stead, and I made it back to the ship. I didn’t have a chance to ask curly, larry, and moe where I had gone wrong. Con you figure it out?

I need advice, which car would be the better choice!? Which one would you choose?

They're all great cars but it comes down to personal preference. I personally would get a 3 series. If you were happy with your 2003, then I would get another BMW. The Audi, in my opinion, looks a bit cleaner and laid back. I would test drive both and see which one you like more. I have heard that Audi's have some electrical problems, though. My friend has a 2004 A4 and puts a lot of money into electrical repairs. My dad has a BMW and it is pretty reliable so that shouldn't be a problem for the BMW. Another really good car for the price is a 3rd generation Acura TL. My brother has one and it is pretty nice, and a lot quicker than the Audi and BMW. So I would definitely check that out too. Got my tooth crowned, and my voice is so much higher?

Today, I got my tooth crowned, and I've always had a deeper voice. I sing in choir, and I always sing with the bes/tenors. Thus, I am the only contralto. But my voice is much higher now. I don't get it. It was such a small chip, and I want to stay a contralto. Is there anything I can do to get my range lower again? My low notes come out higher. (Same jaw position and stuff, but it's just confusing me and making me mad.)

Can shingles give someone who has taken the vaccine chicken pox?

You can't "catch" shingles. All you can catch is chickenpox, and you have already been vaccinated against it. So you should not be at risk to catch it at all. A shingles outbreak can take several weeks to completely go away, but you would have to touch it directly to catch chicken pox. SInce the outbreaks tend to be weepy and painful, most people keep them covered with a bandage- so it's unlikely you'd touch the open blisters. Shingles is chicken pox, round 2 - but it only breaks out in one location, not all over the body the way chicken pox do. I do not know if she will be completely recovered by the time camp comes, but it is possible. So don't worry about catching anything. Keep your fingers off the spot, and you will be just fine.

6 weeks after?

gave birth 6 weeks ago to a beautiful little boy. I had no problems, no episiotimy or tears or anything. When He says "I never knew you", He is NOT talking to believers! If you are a believer, He knows you. He is talking to people who do not have the Holy Spirit but only have a 'head' knowledge of Jesus and acts on what they 'think' and not what they 'believe'. People who just have an intellectual "belief" in Jesus and not a heart belief can change their 'mind' and often think they were Christians who decided not to be Christian any longer. Anyone can do anything and claim it is Jesus' name without it being the truth. Jesus says 'my sheep hear my voice'. He knows and we know that we are His. Some people also are trusting partly in their own works and this is like building your house on the sand. We must trust Jesus alone for our salvation.

It sounds like you might have multiple food allergies, namely to wheat, soy, and commercial dairy, as well as foods high in amines and salicylates-a common problem for people with autoimmune issues. You can easily add in quinoa (pronounced keen wa, and available at health food stores) Quinoa is a complete protein grain that is easily tolerated by gluten intolerant people. You can use it like rice or pasta, or buy the flakes and flour for making muffins, quick breads, pancakes and waffles. Google "foods high in amines, or foods high in salycilates" to learn more about those foods. Also, you may tolerate organic veggies and fruits, where you previously had issues with commercial produce-usually people are actually reacting to the pesticide residues and genetically modified versions of these foods. How can we help our newly neutered adult dog "calm down" faster?

My fianc� and I just adopted a male adult Pomeranian (about 6 years old) from a rescue shelter. He was neutered yesterday and is still things. I know that it takes some time, maybe up to six months, for adult dogs to fully calm down after being neutered, but he is aggressively pestering my female cat (3 years old) ever since he got to our house. She has tried to "smack" him a few times, which makes him cry, but he continues to want to jump her every time he sees her. we have them separated by a pet gate, which has helped, but he still gets very anxious/excited when he sees her. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what we can do to help this situation? Is there anything we can do to help him calm down faster so she wont be so intimidated by him? Thanks!

Something is wrong with my big toe nail....freaking out?

Ok for the last maybe 3 weeks to a month it seems like it started out as an ingrown toe nail on my right big toe. Well it now seems to be lifting in the right corner like its going to fall off maybe. It's a scab on my nose, and it came from picking at my acne *wince* yeah I know I was stupid :P The scab is kinda weird though, it is not exactly a hard dry scab, it's actually really close to the skin and kind of squishy. I'm a 15 year. old girl, i attend a highschool. Theirs a boy who i known for a while, and we're friends but don't communicate anymore. I see him in the hallways glaring at me and looking at me constantly. This has been going on for months now. His eyes sparkle and looks thrilled to see me like he's ready to say something. On halloween theirs a guy in a mask standing still on the hallways moving his arms and trying to scare me, he doesn't do this to any other girl from what i know of. While i was walking up the stair, right ahead on the far side of the hallway, i see two guys, looking at me, the guy i ume likes me, says something to his guy friend, and he screams in a playful voice "STAlKER" and again, i look at them, and was walking there direction, and they were like " oh no, she saw us, and then scrambled into the guys restroom. The only area that i was heading from the begginning was to cl. Next, thing i know it i'm late for cl, i'm sure they were late also. Out of everyone on the crowd. He doesn't really give a reaction when he's around anyone else except when he's with his guy friends, when they look at me like, they have something to hide. The most recent one that i recall was when i was talking to a girl on the hallway, barely anyone was their, in the corner of my eye i see a guy, smilling and looking as if he were about to say something, then as soon as i know it, some other guy approached the girl i'm with and talks to her, his face was unforgettable, his eyes were looking back at forth at his locker and then towards the guy, and looked as if, he were going to smash it, instead he closed it softly, and left. I then proceeded on to class almost when the bell rang. Does any of this mean anything, does he have something he's hiding from me? What do all these signs mean?

Are you getting scared about labour?

I am 27 and a half weeks and I am petrified of the birthing process. The closer it gets the more scared I get. I am really scared of needles and I know I will have to have them because if I end up with too much pain I get really sick and throw up. I am scared to death of them putting a needle in my back and then being numb waist down and can't feel anything. The whole process just has me scared, I am scared something is going to go wrong or the baby won't come out healthy or just something will get messed up. After going thru 2 years of fertility treatments I really don't care about who looks at me down there, I am use to that, but I am scared of ripping or having to get cut or bleeding to much. I guess I am just scared of the unknown. Yes I am not going to like it to have to strip down and then having my parents and inlaws coming in to say hi and just be there before the birthing process, because when the birthing process happens I am kicking everyone out except for my husband. We want to spend about $2,000 including airfare. We definately want to go somewhere tropical but not too touristy. I've looked into the Jungle Bay Resort in Dominica and that looks amazing, the only thing is I read that you can't swim at the beach there because the water is too rough. My fiance LOVES swimming at the beach. We would love to stay in a bungalow over the water but that is way too expensive. But we are looking for something that is right by the beach. Also somewhere there are lots of activities like jet skiing, parasailing, ATV riding... etc. It would be great to stay somewhere all-inclusive, but those tend to be very touristy which is not what we want. Also another thing is that we want the room to look nice (not just an ugly white box with a bed inside)... interior decor is an important deciding factor for whether we will stay at a certain place. I am a 22 year old woman, and I have an extremely high drive. I haven’t slept with anyone in a long time and it’s just making me irritable, unfocused, and depressed. Can I break my lease because of mold?

I have contacted my apartment complex several times about this mold issue. Each time they come out they spray bleach on it. The mold seems to keep growing. This is now the 4th occurrence, and i have about 6 months left on my lease. I am itching to break it but i don't want to be penalized. Is the Sony e-reader any good? ?

I travel quite a lot and when I'm away I tend to read a book a day - over 2 weeks, this adds up! An e-reader or similar would be very useful as it is much more portable than 14 books, but I have some concerns. I know that the Sony e-reader works in conjunction with Waterstones, but I've heard that there are limited books available. I've also heard that it can be clunky to use and that the "pages" turn very slowly, which would drive me bonkers. I've heard good things about the Amazon Kindle, but this is unlikely to be available in the UK anytime soon because of mobile networking issues. Are there any better options? If I can't download my latest Dean Koontz, Stephen King, Meg Cabot, Janet Evanovich novels etc, this type of technology is not going to be much use to me. Any comments/advice would be welcome.

Why is the local council giving me a smaller wheelie bin?

Diagnosed with a prostate infection how long till symptoms go away?

The symptoms will pretty much be gone in 10 days to two weeks but the infection won't be cleared up for about a month. Some urologists have told me the infection never completely goes away in the prostate gland. Supposedly it's similar to a sponge and the bacteria can hide in the cracks so to speak. I'm inclined to believe that because I've had chronic prostatitis over the years.

Windows ME network/ethernet question?

I recently got a windows ME computer. (I have other computers so it is just fun to play/do old games with) and the problem is it isn't connecting to my network. It is an "ethernet" network, and YES, it has the drivers for it. And it is pluged in and it does work on other computers so it isn't the network. I used the "internet connection wizard" and used LAN setting/automatic detection, but it isn't connecting. It says it is an DNS error/cannot find server. MY network IS pword protected so would that make it not connect? Where do I "tell" it the pword for my network?

I took my dog to the beach today and she was all good until she started to drink the salt-water. She normally does this when I take her to the beach. I take her like twice a week to the beach. But today she just started to throw up from it and had diarrhea. So i immediately washed her in clean fresh water. She drunk the same amount of saltwater she would normally. That's just the way it is, if you want to work on your car when it breaks, you going to have to go to school to learn how to fix it, or have a friend that can teach you... In all honesty,cars have had computers since the early 80s, there not that bad. I would recommend an older (early 2000s) Subaru, they are about the most simple newer car on the market, minus there awd system. The doors don't lock as soon as you hit 10mph(they expect you to sit in the car, not fall out), they're not drive by wire, no goofy light headlight timers(turn the key off so do the lights), and that's just a few off the top of my head...
