Will I get the stimulus rebate if I have filed taxes as Married Filing Jointly on my SSN?
I am currently on H1B, working & have SSN. My wife is on H4 so she doesn't have SSN. We filed taxes as Married Filing Jointly this year & simultaneously I applied for my wife's ITIN along with taxes. I received ITIN in few weeks & also got my tax refund directly deposited in bank account. When I am checking my stimulus rebate status today, it says that "You did not qualify for the Stimulus payment because the Taxpayer Identification Number shown on your tax return for yourself or your spouse was not valid. Your last name and/or Social Security Number did not agree with either our records or those of the Social Security Administration, or you used an IRS issued number such as an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number or IRS number. You must have a valid Social Security Number to qualify for the Stimulus payment." What should I do in this case? I used H&R block this time to file taxes. If my information doesn't match, how did I get the tax refund? Please help me out. Thanks.
