Which do I pick, subsidized or unsubsidized for stafford loan?

I don't want this loan for the rest of the years I spend in college. I just want it to pay off the rest of my current semester. If I just want a certain amount do I pick unsubsidized then? I know subsidized means government pays interest and unsubsidized means you pay it, but I ume subsidized means they pay the whole thing and unsubsidized means you pick an amount? By the way, I am eligible for subsidized.
