Are you getting scared about labour?

I am 27 and a half weeks and I am petrified of the birthing process. The closer it gets the more scared I get. I am really scared of needles and I know I will have to have them because if I end up with too much pain I get really sick and throw up. I am scared to death of them putting a needle in my back and then being numb waist down and can't feel anything. The whole process just has me scared, I am scared something is going to go wrong or the baby won't come out healthy or just something will get messed up. After going thru 2 years of fertility treatments I really don't care about who looks at me down there, I am use to that, but I am scared of ripping or having to get cut or bleeding to much. I guess I am just scared of the unknown. Yes I am not going to like it to have to strip down and then having my parents and inlaws coming in to say hi and just be there before the birthing process, because when the birthing process happens I am kicking everyone out except for my husband. I know how you feel. All I can do is wish you good luck and hope everything goes good for you. I am due with my first on Christmas Day.
