Frankenstein.......Who do you feel more sympathy for, the monster or victor?

I felt sorry for the monster...he was created by Victor and then abandoned because Victor feared him. It is almost like having a baby and then not liking it because it is deformed and abandoning it. The creator showed that he was capable of learning because he taught himself to read--he wanted to be loved but Victor was incapable of giving it to him. Victor made him a monster because of his actions towards him.
